Due to changes in the rate of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) announced in the recent budget, many investors are now looking for alternative forms of investment.
Did you know that if you are a UK tax payer, investments in Classic and Vintage cars are excluded from CGT. The tax situation is that Classic and Vintage Aston Martins such as a DB4 or 5 are considered to be "wasting assets" This means that an investment in such a car can be made and any appreciation on subsequent sale will not count towards any CGT liability.
Please note: - investors should consult with their financial adviser regarding any tax liabilities. Values of classic and vintage cars may go down as well as up.

Aston Workshop earn their 'wings' from Aston Martin
Aston Workshop is pleased to announce the recent achievement of being awarded 'Aston Martin Approved Service Centre' status.
It is incredibly rare for any company outside of the Aston Martin modern dealership network to be recognised in this way. We are one of only three such companies in the UK to be honoured, and the first outside of the London area.
This symbol of superior service, recognised worldwide, comes following a recent £250,000 investment in staff training and infrastructure. Several enhancements have been made including a completely new reception area & retail outlet, new signage, two brand new service bays and a state-of-the-art diagnostic area.

"Welcome to Dubai Mr. Bond"
Well, not quite, but thanks to the joint efforts of Aston Workshop and UK Trade & Investment, dignitaries attending celebrations at the British Embassies in Dubai and Oman were able to witness for themselves, the stunning and evocative Aston Martin DB5 made famous by a certain 007.
The car in question is a 1965 example that has been restored and enhanced by Aston Workshop.
Managing Director, Clive Dickinson explains the reasoning behind the trip;
"Although we have many years of experience in dealing with clients from the Middle East, this is a great opportunity for us to establish a more physical presence in the region, and no amount of advertising or publicity can compare with actually flying an example of our product out there and allowing potential clients to peruse it at their leisure."

British Ambassador in Rome visits Aston Workshop
We had a very memorable day here at Aston Workshop on Tuesday, with a visit from the British Ambassador in Rome, Edward Chaplin.
The Ambassador was in the region to give companies an insight into doing business with our European cousins.
We are planning a promotional trip to Italy next summer and when we heard that the Ambassador was going to be in the region, we were only too pleased to invite him along to see for himself the extent and quality of the facilities we have here and to find out more about the work we do.

Every issue we will be speaking to one of the team at the Aston Workshop. This month we interviewed Anna, our Service Advisor
What is your job role at Aston Workshop?
I'm the Service Adviser and apart from dealing with the organisation of all service bookings, I'm also Miss Money-Penny for our Sales and Workshop Managers and look after our customer relations.
Where did you work before Aston Workshop?
I'm originally from Germany and an Art Historian by trade. Prior to working at the Aston Workshop I worked for a Fine Art Auctioneer in Munich and then as gallery manager for a contemporary Art Gallery in Newcastle. I find that the motivations between buying a fantastic work of art and an Aston Martin are not so far apart…

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new parts and gifts site.
The site is a vast improvement with a much cleaner design and a more intuitive menu. We've also made the buying experience as simple and transparent as possible by including shipping in the UK, Europe, USA & Canada and displaying all prices with and without VAT where applicable on every page.
Our thanks go to all at www.inovica.com who have worked tirelessly on the site these last few months.
All in all our new site is a big leap forward, and we hope it's one that everyone will enjoy using!
