The 'A' Team...

After many months of negotiation and a massive investment by Aston Workshop, we are pleased to announce the award of 'Category A' crash repairer status from Aston Martin.

This new 'Category A' status means that we are now approved by Aston Martin to carry out any level of repair on any Aston Martin model. Most repairs can already be undertaken, with the remainder being available once the last few pieces of equipment have been installed.

If you should find yourself in the unfortunate position of requiring a first class crash repair or if you simply want to restore your cars appearance to its former glory, we will be only too pleased to help. In fact, for any level of repair to any Aston Martin, please contact our workshop manager for friendly advice.

Back to life with Aston Workshop...

The cars we sell at Aston Workshop come from many different sources and all over the globe, and without exception they are given a thorough examination on arrival. This allows us to assess any work that may be needed to make the car presentable and to decide the best way forward in terms of a sales strategy.

Sometimes, as with the car we have here, the condition is such that a full restoration is deemed necessary to bring the car back to its former glory.

This absolutely stunning DB4 Series V offers a very rare opportunity to purchase what is surely one of the finest 'Series V' available...

Every item for every Aston Martin - All in one place for Aston owners!

We have recently undertaken the mammoth task of listing every factory part for every Aston Martin on our website.

To give you some idea of just how monumental this is, we had a not insubstantial 2,800 parts listed prior to the exercise and we now have an astonishing 50,000 plus available to those with an Aston Martin parts catalogue!

To continue with our policy of making the browsing and buying experience as easy as possible, most of these items will remain hidden from view until searched for by factory part number. It is also presumed that those with a catalogue will know exactly what the part is they are searching for and so most listings will not have an image attached.

Our plan is to make it easier than ever to buy ANY part for your cherished Aston and by introducing this 'online catalogue' service we hope you will be able to do just that.

The listings are already in place and although there is some fine-tuning to be done, most can be searched and ordered with immediate effect: www.astonparts.com.

Last of the great V8 engineers...

Aston Workshop are of course world famous for the work we do on classic Aston Martins, especially the DB models of the 50s and 60s, but what many don't realise is that we employ one of the last great engine builders to have worked for Aston Martin, Mr. Mick Durrant.

Mick is believed to be the last of the Aston Martin engine builders (famous for placing a name plate on each engine they built) still building and repairing engines full time. Although Mick can turn his highly skilled technique to any Aston Martin engine, his specialist area is that of the great V8s of the 1970s.

This means that Aston Workshop is probably the only place you can go to have one of the original Aston Martin V8 engine builders work on your engine.

We will be launching a website in the near future dedicated to the myriad of engine services that we offer here at Aston Workshop. However, anyone wishing to enquire about these services, and the V8 work of Mick Durrant in particular, can do so now by contacting our Workshop Manager, John Gray:

Revival Return...

After attending successful classic events at Essen, Blenheim Palace, Donington and Croft in 2011, we are very much looking forward to returning to the Goodwood Revival this year.

The revival was the highlight of the year in 2010 and the first time Aston Workshop had attended the event. This year promises to be even more exciting as we are planning to have an even greater presence, with more cars on display and more advisors to talk through the needs of potential clients.

If you're planning to be there, why not come and have a chat with the team?

16, 17 18 September - Our stand is number 247-250.

A New chapter for Ron's DB2/4 MKIII

When Ron Powell asked Aston Workshop if it would be possible to produce a hardback book featuring the restoration of his beloved MKIII, we were only too happy to oblige.

Using Clive Dickinson's extensive knowledge of graphic design and printing and the words of Quentin Parker, Aston Workshop have put together a fantastic record of the complete restoration process which also features the superb photography of Tim Wallace.

Mr. Tomkins - Volvo P1800

Ever since I was a kid I have always wanted to own a Volvo P1800. I remember the first time I saw one was in the 1960's series "The Saint" starring Roger Moore. The car is so unlike all of the other Volvo's produced over the years - it is an absolutely stunning design.
