Aston Workshop Living Legend Newsletter Issue 20
As you may be aware, we are currently producing a major, large format photographic book to celebrate our 25th anniversary which coincided with Aston Martin’s centenary last year.

We are working with world class photographer Tim Wallace to produce the book.
Tim’s work is published globally and he is renowned as one of the UK's most creative commercial photographers. Awards include International Commercial Advertising Photographer of the Year and UK Motor Industry Car Photographer of the Year.

Our aim is to present every iconic Aston Martin ever made in a beautiful “coffee table” title, featuring Tim’s stunning imagery.
The book covers the very earliest Aston Martin cars, all of the David Brown era and on to the most recent decades of design and development.

With interest rates hovering at around 0.5 per cent, there’s very little point in keeping cash in the bank at the moment. It’s no surprise that savvy investors are opting to sink their hard earned money into alternatives at the moment, including classic cars.

The theory is that you can buy the car, drive it and enjoy it, then sell it years later at a profit. Certain classic cars are now generating considerably more profit than placing your money in the bank. A report from Coutts saw values of some classic cars rise by an astonishing 257 per cent between 2005 and 2013.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Aston Workshop we collaborated with esteemed artist Kevin Day earlier this year. Kevin's work is described as "figurative narrative" and he is renowned for capturing the mood of the moment. We believe Kevin's unique style adds a whole new dimension to the world of Aston Martin art.

We are thrilled to announce another 5 limited edition prints have been released and are available to buy via AstonArt

In total Kevin will produce 15 paintings and sketches for this series and all of the originals are set to feature in a exhibition at AW later this year (details to follow). They will include classic and modern models from the early pre-war cars through to the famous DB4, DB5, & DB6 and onto the modern super-car era.

National Classic Car Day at Aston Workshop and Beamish Morgan
Did you drive your classic car to work on Friday 4th April?
National Classic Car Day is the latest charity event which was proposed by Radio 2 presenter, Chris Evans. Launched on a whim during his breakfast radio show on 24 March 2014, the idea is that anyone who owns a classic car should fire it up for the commute to work, offering friends and colleagues a lift into the bargain – as long as they make a donation to the BBC Children in Need charity.

We thought it would be a good idea to support the campaign by offering those who are retired (or simply don't have a workplace) a 'destination'.

We’d like to thank everyone that came to AW in their classic cars and made a donation, it was a fantastic day for such a worthy cause and we look forward to next year!

Techno Classica Essen
The 26th edition of Techno Classica Essen 2014 was held betwen 26th-30th March.

If you’re particularly interested in the area of vintage and classic motor cars and modern classics then look no further, Essen never fails to come back each year bigger and better. This year presenting more than 1,250 exhibitors from 30 nations, our stand was 514 hall 11.
