Name: Laura Nattress
1.What is your role at Aston Workshop?
Bookkeeper; It involves balancing and maintaining accounts as well as helping our workshop manager with client contact and the restoration processes.
2.Have you worked anywhere other than Aston Workshop?
Yes, after leaving school I worked for a firm of accountants.
3.What do you enjoy best at work?
Working with John Gray, our workshop manager and dealing with the "restoration" customers. Witnessing these lovely old Astons being brought back to life is truly amazing.
4.What are you best known for at work?
I would like to think I'm known for my pleasant disposition, I try to remain positive at all times, but who Knows? I guess I'm not the person to ask really.
5.What is your most memorable day at work, and why?
I attended a training course at Aston Martin HQ and got to drive the modern range of Aston Martins - FAST!
It will be difficult to beat that!
6.If you could drive any Aston Martin, anywhere in the world, where would you go and what model Aston Martin would choose?
After attending the course at Aston Martin, I would definitely choose the new DBS, it was astounding.
As for where, no contest, it would have to be my favorite road around Lock Ness, though it's a bit tight at times, the scenery is breathtaking.
7.If you could take a dream passenger with you on this journey who would it be?
That's easy, my gorgeous little boy.
8.How clean is your car on scale from 1 to 10, 10 being pristine?
9.What would we find in your glove box/boot?
Pushchair, nappies and shopping bags.
10.Have you got an expert tip for our customers?
It sounds counter-intuitive, but as bookkeeper at Aston Workshop I can vouch for the fact that regular maintenance is crucial to lowering overall running costs. So I guess a good tip would be to make sure you stick to the servicing schedule, whether you Aston is old or new.
