This fantastic V8 to Vantage specification has recently undergone an extensive overhaul and refurbishment by Aston Workshop. All items requiring attention have been dealt with at considerable cost and this lovely classic now has the looks and performance worthy of the name. -------------------------------------------

The following is a list of recent work undertaken by Aston Workshop: Chassis Carry out chassis repairs as required. Remove original corroded parts and replace with new inner and outer o/s & n/s sill sections plus o/s and n/s rear floor panels. Cut out corrosion from A and B post lower areas and re-build as required. Under-seal and protect all parts as required. Body Repair body - replacing sections as required. Repair defects on the aluminium body. Repair o/s/f wing and restore panel gaps. Re-fit o/s door and re-align. Trial fit rear bumper with replacement brackets. Repair near side front wing, front corner. Repair front bumper mounts. Re-fit front splitier and front bumper trim. Re-set bonnet, shape bonnet and re-set for opening operation. Rectify corrosion faults on the body following shot blasting. Remove body panels for painting. Fabricate front and rear wheel arch closure panels. Fit front and rear closure panels - replace fixings as necessary. Paint Prepare for primer. Flat the boot lid. Flat primer on the doors and back of the doors. Flat back of bonnet and top, flat petrol flaps. Flat rear quarters, wing and roof. Clean, mask and paint all panels. Paint back of bonnet and boot lid. Prepare, mask, repair and paint the engine bay. Polish bonnet and flat head light surrounds, fog lamps, grille and front bumper. Paint in the holes remaining after trimming. Mask off dash top and cap for painting. Blast and paint door courtesy light buttons. Sort bumpers and doors. Re-fit fuel filler flaps. Prepare and under-seal as required. Flat and polish the complete body. Electrical Remove the dashboard top, glove box and both A post panels. (Some parts missing or damaged, replace as required) Remove front to rear harness and battery cable. Remove wiring from right hand door. Re-fit front to rear battery cable. Replace front to rear wiring harness (wiring previously burnt and repaired/connected) Start car and check electrical operation. Assemble parts and repair burnt wiring under dash on right hand side. Fit fuel pump, battery cut off switch and boot wiring. Fit new under bonnet lamp. Check for a fault with the fuel gauge. Remove tank sender and adjust float to clear the fuel pick up. Remove the right hand heater motor. Lubricate the bearing in the heater motor, test and re-fit. Fit rear lamps and new bulbs. Check and rectify operation of water heater valve. Connect door wiring as needed, fit upper dash panels. Convert fuel flap motors as needed, make brackets to suit 2 central locking door motors. Fit glove box, rear speaker wiring, check fuel flap operation, 2 new solenoids supplied and fitted. Modify wiring for brake bulb holders and lamp switch, replace as required. Rectify fault with heater temperature control and intermittent wiper control. Fit o/s door panel following internal repair. Weld dashboard finisher in place. Fit new lens for under-bonnet lamp. Adjust headlamps and auxiliary driving lamps. Repair oil pressure warning lamp - add oil as required. Polish and seal the windows. Mechanical Remove brake & clutch reservoir, screen wash bottle and fuel lines. Strip the engine bay for body shop to paint, refurbish and replace all parts. Fit wiper arms and new blades, fit and adjust screen-wash jets. Make and fit rigid brake pipes and flexible hoses, bleed brakes and clutch systems. Fit engine and gearbox oil coolers. Replace the boot lid hinge springs. Re-fit exhaust system and replace missing exhaust mount. Fit new door mirrors, make new screws to secure. Sort boot carpet patterns, make and fit new black Wilton carpets. Remove and disassemble o/s/f suspension, replace broken coil spring, Replace corroded brake discs; re-assemble suspension with new bushes and paint as necessary. Remove starter motor from vehicle, repair, test and re-fit. Rectify sheared bleed nipple on rear caliper. Fit wheel centre caps. Glass, trim etc Strip out interior trim and carpets. Strip trim parts and dispatch to the specialist. Shape and fit floor insulation, make and fit full new carpet set in matching Wilton, fit fasteners and secure. Refit all refurbished trim parts. Polish and clean down all trim covers. Touch in door panel. Re-make gearstick cover and gaiter. Fabricate rear parcel shelf, trim and fit. Re-colouring of dash and parts that were not matching. Carry out annual service to v8 specification. Valet and prepare for display. ------------------------------------------- All work undertaken by Aston Workshop is fully documented & itemised and a report will be made available as part of the extensive history folder.
