About Us
Established from humble beginnings over 35 years ago, owner Bob Fountain forged Aston Workshop out of his interest in restoring Aston Martin cars to the highest possible specifications. Since then Aston Workshop has enjoyed sustained growth and has become internationally renowned for its award-winning engineering and restorations. Now with a team of over 45 specialist workshop staff, we can undertake some of the most well regarded and bespoke Aston engineering tasks globally available.
What is Enginology?
The term ‘Enginology’, penned by Aston Workshop owner and founder Bob Fountain, describes the engineering department at Aston Workshop. A dedicated and highly skilled team works on everything engine and engineering related from engine tuning to parts manufacture and specialist machining.
Engineering projects always start with a consultation with the owner to determine the project goals. Our in-house developed engine blocks are the ideal choice for returning a once-lost Aston Martin to the road, while individual parts that are no longer produced can be reborn using modern materials and techniques.
From rebuild work on pre-war Aston Martins and Lagondas to brand new manufactured blocks and custom parts for our DB4 GT Zagato recreations, Enginology at Aston Workshop can take on any project.
Engine Encyclopedia
The classic style of an Aston Martin is matched only by the characteristic soul of the engine that powers it. Aston Martin have had a number of distinct engine designs throughout their history, all of which are based around unique philosophies and therefore require an individualised approach to caring for them. Aston Workshop has over 35 years of experience as an Aston specialist, and has an unrivalled background of Aston Martin engine knowledge based on hundreds of engine rebuilds and thousands of engineering projects.
