Manufactured in 1994 and commissioned to form part of an extensive collection belonging to a very well known Southeast Asian royal family member, this is an absolutely breathtaking example of the 6.3 litre wide-bodied Virage Volante and definitely an opportunity not to be missed.
Presented in Rolls Royce Blue with Medium Blue Hide, matching carpets and hood, it looks completely stunning from every angle.
As the name suggests, the main styling cues are rather obvious, yet the transformation is astonishing, especially with the addition of the larger split-rim alloys filling those cavernous arches.
Even in this era of 'Hypercars' there are very few cars on the road with such an aura of hand crafted luxury coupled with blistering performance and a truly imposing presence.
At the owner's behest, this example was fitted with the incredibly powerful 6.3 litre engine upgrade by Aston Martin. Offering an astonishing 40% increase over the original car, the result is a phenomenal 456 BHP!
Perhaps more significantly, this car was also 'factory fitted' with the newly developed (at the time) 4-speed Chrysler 'Torqueflight' transmission, known as the sport option. This transforms an already rare Aston Martin into something very special indeed, as only two of the original 6.3 litre Wide Bodied Volante were fitted with this option. Complimenting this rare sport option transmission, it was also fitted with a 'Sports Exhaust' upgrade to staggering effect.
As you would expect from Aston Martin the suspension, braking and handling of the 6.3 litre cars were also upgraded to to cope with the added grunt making this a great 'driver's car'.
Complete with a full Aston Martin Dealer Service History including Aston Works Service, numerous MOTs, great provenience and extreme rarity, this very special, hand-built Aston is sure to attract a great deal of attention.
