When commissioned to build the ultimate Aston Martin DB6 this is what we created. Featuring a wide range of subtle modern enhancements, and fully restored to the finest condition, this 1966 Aston Martin DB6 is a bespoke masterpiece ready to be driven away today.
The ground-up restoration process took over two years to complete, with no stone left unturned in our effort to make this the highest calibre example on the market. A full photographic record of the restoration can be found here. If undertaken today, a project of this depth, scope and quality would likely cost in the region of £350,000. The works included:
- A full bare metal body restoration and respray in AW Deep Forest Green
- Full chassis restoration to better-than-factory condition
- Engine rebuild to 4.2L Vantage specification including a number of upgrades detailed below
- Full engine testing and tuning program on our dynamometer
- Fitment of a modern 5-speed manual transmission
- Conversion to Left Hand Drive, including fabrication of a new dashboard
- Steering overhaul and fitment of electric power steering
- Full retrim including Bridge of Weir leather and Wilton wool carpets
