Further Information
Recently subject to an extensive restoration at Aston Workshop, and one of only 140 cars produced, this stunning example of a DB6 Volante is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. Finished in the popular Aston Martin colour California Sage with Magnolia leather and carpets, this exceptional car represents the pinnacle of continental touring in the 1960s.
Originally delivered to Dr Frank Sondheimer of Kensington Palace Gardens on the 11th of February 1967, the car went on to have a life of European touring with subsequent owners residing in France and Switzerland. During its time on the continent a high-quality conversion to Vantage Manual specification was carried out elevating the driving experience to match the cars stunning aesthetics. Extensive invoices from this period are present in the Volante’s history file including details of a full retrim and other maintenance work. Before arriving at Aston Workshop this DB6 Volante resided in a large private collection of carefully selected Aston Martins.
