Fitting between the DB7 Vantage Coupe (420 horsepower) and the Vanquish (460 horsepower), the GT blends modest visual upgrades with a slightly firmer chassis and 435 BHP. The active bypass exhaust system and recalibrated fuel and ignition maps deliver the bump in power. The six-speed manual works with a twin-plate clutch and a shorter-throw shifter. The rear-axle ratio is tightened from the Vantage's 3.77:1 to 4.09. Snappier acceleration is the intent, and the GT does pull with real authority. A retuned chassis (damper rates, bushing hardness, steering-rack support) speaks to the driver more eloquently about the road surface and plants the big car a bit more firmly on its tires. The Brembo brakes are upgraded, as well. Only a minor rework of the DB7 chin spoiler and rear boot lid, distinctive hood vents, and anodized mesh in the nose openings set off this car. For anyone who wants a sporting edge in his Touring, the DB7 GT represents a Grand alternative This low mileage example is in pristine condition.
