Further Information
This rare 'Jim Clarke Memorial Car' was first sold as a kit by the Lotus factory and comes with much documentation between the owner and the factory. Registered in 1969 the car was used until 1974 when it was last registered (taxed) with DVLA. Since the car has been unused / dry stored until purchased by ourselves 18 months ago. We have completely re painted the car in Lotus yellow and re carpetted the interior and boot area. We have also fitted a correct period headlining to compliment the interior. The engine has had a cylinder head re work to un leaded specification together with new timing chain and water pump. The rear shock absorbers have been replaced together with the rear drive shafts. These shafts are the 'Mick Miller' constant velocity shafts in place of the rubber rotoflex couplings.A new Kenlow radiator cooling fan has been fitted in place of the small original Lotus unit. Blumels raised plastic digit number plates compliment the exterior finish to the car. The car is now back on DVLA records, bearing its original registration marks and comes with a full MOT test and of course registered as 'Historic'. Will be fully serviced by our workshop prior to sale. A delightfull pretty Lotus FHC Elan.
