This Californian Karmann Super Beetle, first registered in 1979, features a fuel-injected 1600cc engine and is finished in its delightful original light blue paintwork over a black interior with grey carpets. Rust-free following a life mainly spent in California, this Super Beetle benefits from a professional RHD conversion making it ideal for the UK collector’s market. 

Work carried out on this car includes fitting a new double-lined hood and new handmade Wilton carpets, a complete fuel system overhaul including new injectors, lines, fuel pump and fuel tank, and new tyres all round. The Karmann Super Beetle Convertible combined the larger, more comfortable Super Beetle model with the highly desirable Karmann convertible body style. A more powerful 1600cc engine and updated front suspension over the standard model make the Super Beetle far more enjoyable to drive, while the extended wheelbase allows for more luggage space and improved passenger comfort. The larger body and curved windscreen make the Super Beetle one of the prettiest versions of the model, and the MacPherson suspension set-up allows for a more refined ride and tighter turning circle.
