In-car entertainment and infotainment systems have dominated car design and engineering over the past few decades. Long gone is the era of a simple radio or cassette player; even the most basic modern cars have features such as bluetooth, DAB radio and sat nav. Updating your classic Aston to make use of current technology is a tricky business, not least because a modern tablet-style screen would ruin the aesthetics of your cars interior. Aston Workshop have had many requests in recent years for subtle infotainment upgrades that suit the character of classic Aston Martins.

Modern head unit upgrades can roughly be divided into three categories:

  • Original factory system, upgraded with modern internals
  • Modern infotainment system, discreetly hidden from view to maintain period-correct looks
  • A period-style modern head unit, that combines 1950s, 60s or 70s looks with 21st century capabilities

We have a range of head units available for heritage Aston Martins, and can tailor their aesthetics to match your car. Bluetooth connection is a must, allowing for music streaming and the use of modern Sat Nav applications. We can also source a completely modern system complete with touchscreen for  use with Apple Car Play or Android Auto. While these systems may not be fully true to a period correct style, we can combine old and new to create a bespoke solution that works for you. As with all of our enhancements, these upgrades are fully reversible to protect the heritage of your car.
