Electric Cooling Fan

Fitment: DB2, DB2/4, DB2/4 MkII, DB MkIII, DB4, DB5, DB6, DB6 MK2, DBS, V8

Mechanical cooling fans, as found on most classic cars, have a major weakness; their cooling ability is directly linked to engine speed. That means that when a classic Aston is in stationary traffic, requiring the most cooling due to the lack of airflow, a mechanical cooling fan can’t keep up with engine temperatures.

Our modern electric cooling fans negate this issue completely, reacting instantly to rises in coolant temperature. We fit an integrated temperature switch inside the radiator itself, which we’ve found to be the most reliable and effective way to control the electric fans, as well as an optional override switch on the dash for extra peace of mind.

Providing peace of mind with a sizeable uplift in cooling power, our electric cooling fans for classic Aston Martins react to temperature changes quicker to keep your car within the ideal operating temperatures. We would consider an electric cooling fan to be a recommended upgrade for any restoration project, especially when combined with our air conditioning enhancement where the additional cooling effect is required.
