Aston Workshop are delighted to bring to market our in-house developed manual conversion for the 2001-2007 V12 Vanquish and V12 Vanquish S. The result of an extensive research and development program, the conversion process is carried out at our headquarters in County Durham and can be completed within four weeks from delivery to our facility.

One of Aston Martin’s most iconic models and star of the 2002 James Bond film ‘Die Another Day’, the V12 Vanquish was one of the most exotic Astons ever produced. The V12 Vanquish will forever be held in the highest regard by Aston Martin enthusiasts with it being the final hand-built Aston Martin produced at the company’s historic Newport Pagnell factory. The V12 Vanquish Manual Conversion by Aston Workshop ensures that the car delivers a driving experience that lives up to the Vanquish legend.

The Aston Workshop conversion utilises the car’s original Tremec T56 6-speed gearbox, ensuring that the balance between engine and transmission remains optimal and the matching numbers status of the car is kept. The gearbox is stripped and rebuilt with modified internals giving a positive ‘gated’ feel. The advanced yet controversial Magnetti-Marelli “Auto Shift Manual” componentry is removed, and a traditional gear knob and linkage are fitted in its place. Aston Workshop have developed and fabricated a bespoke pedal assembly to give correct pedal spacing and adequate footwell space.

The interior of the car remains largely unchanged with the exception of the fitment of a manual gear knob. The gear knob is subtly adjusted to show the Tremec gate pattern, and a custom surround is fitted that ensures an OEM-style look can be achieved. The redundant shift paddles are removed and capped off, while the gear-select buttons on the dash can either be repurposed or deleted. Crucially, the gear knob and linkage are engineered in such a way that the centre console needn’t be adjusted to allow for proper clearance.
