Further Information

An original factory LHD, this lovely example of the MKIII can be enjoyed right now with relatively little work, though in our opinion it would make the perfect "project" car. The Aston Martin MKIII has enjoyed an enormous surge in popularity with both collectors and enthusiasts and recent values reflect this. Therefore, although the condition is generally very good (As can be seen from the photographs of the actual car), we recommend a thorough renovation be undertaken by Aston Workshop to achieve it's full potential. We understand that this car was originally sold to the USA and then on to Germany and finally back here to the UK. A great opportunity to purchase a very rare and much sought after Aston Martin. One of only 83 factory LHD MKIIIs and one of the first 100 MKIIIs to be made, a timeless classic and an opportunity to invest in the "Living Legend" that is Aston Martin. Bentley-designed Lagonda 2.9 L straight-6 engine, redesigned by Tadek Marek. It was the first production Aston to use the new grill shape that would come to define the face of Aston Martin and is used as a signature to this day. Other changes included a new instrument panel and the availability of Girling disc brakes. The standard engine featured twin SU carburettors and produced 162 hp. A total of 551 MKIIIs were built in just over two years of production. ------------------------------------------
