Further Information

This absolutely stunning DB4 Series V offers a very rare opportunity to purchase what is surely one of the finest ‘Series V’ available. Purchased by Aston Workshop in May 2009 this particular car had already been subject to a full chassis restoration by a UK Aston Martin specialist. Since taking possession our team of dedicated craftsmen have worked tirelessly to produce this superb testament to the Aston Martin brand. Every aspect of this restoration project has been undertaken with the objective of creating a truly exceptional car, a car whose performance will more than match up to any expectations suggested by the timeless beauty of the original design. To achieve this we have looked at every area of the car’s set-up to determine where the best improvements could be made, whilst retaining the original spirit and feel of this iconic masterpiece. The DB4's we restore drive better and are sportier and more powerful than the DB5. Thanks to a shorter chassis which gives the car a much more responsive drive coupled to extensive Aston Workshop engine, steering and suspension upgrades, this is quite possibly “the ultimate driver’s DB ”. This particular car has an advanced, modern 5 speed transmission which is a delight to use, plus air-conditioning and discreet on or off ‘Vario’ power steering upgrade, resulting in an altogether fantastic driving experience. Not only is it lighter than a DB5 but it also has as much power as a DB4 GT, if not more. One of only 50 ‘Series V’ saloons ever made, this particular car now benefits from the amazing Aston Workshop 4.2 litre “Bullet” engine, an engine capable of delivering an incredible torque peak of 328 lb/ft @ 4000 RPM! You can see that we are dealing with something very special indeed. Of course it would be folly to upgrade the engine in this manner without also upgrading other components to ensure that the car’s full potential can be achieved whilst also improving safety. To this end we have not only fitted the 5 speed transmission, but also a ‘Monte Carlo handling kit’ and upgraded the brakes (including front AP racing vented discs) which coupled to the lighter weight of the car give more stopping power than a DB5. We have also up rated the starter motor, fitted a high output alternator, aluminium fuel tank and a huge all alloy engine cooling system with aluminium radiator and aluminium oil cooler. Fitted with a high ratio, power lock rear axle for high speed long distance cruising and an advanced, switchable electronic power steering upgrade which allows you to switch the power steering on or off as desired, this really is a fantastic, all purpose Grand Tourer.

Make no mistake, this car looks stunning from every angle, presented as it is in Aston Green with matching Ochre Hide, Beige carpets and headlining. It also has new boot carpets, new chrome, and new glass all round. For added comfort it has also been fitted with an integrated air conditioning system, something we do to all of our restoration DB4s. This is the ‘chance of a lifetime’ for any serious Aston Martin collector or enthusiast to own what is without doubt one of the finest classic Aston Martin cars available anywhere in the world today.
