This stunning early ‘Oscar India’ V8 was the subject of an extensive health check by Aston Martin, after which all recommendations were undertaken by leading companies or individual experts. Work since then included new inner sills and high quaity full bare-metal re-spray in the original Orchard Green (this colour was a £1000 option when new and was the colour used by Aston Martin on their show-car of that year).this car is one of the nicest early oscars we have have for a long time. HWM upgraded the engine on this particular car to Vantage specification just a couple of years after it was first delivered, this meant that the car also had to be fitted with a ‘Torqueflite’ 3-speed transmission to cope with the extra power. Add to this the ‘Handling Kit’ and Sports Exhaust and you have a very desirable, very potent Aston V8 indeed. Despite all of the work & upgrades undertaken on this car, it still retains a very ‘original’ feel,with a lovely original black leather interior, it has a massive history file that outlines all of this work and we don’t think you will find a more desirable or unique example of an Aston Martin V8 for sale at this price anywhere.
